TikTok shows your avatar at 200x200 px on your profile page, then serves 100x100 and 168x168 copies beside comments, search results, and the rail on your videos. The background is cut away on your device and the subject is centered for TikTok's circular mask, which trims all four corners. Roughly 15 percent padding stays clear on each side, and you can keep the result circular or square.
Download the 720x720 PNG and set it in the TikTok app. The in-app editor asks for a square crop again, and since the export is already 1:1 you can accept it untouched. A profile video, once set, replaces the photo on your profile.

The canvas is locked to 720x720, matching the medium variant TikTok's CDN stores, so the 200x200 profile render and the 100x100 comment thumbnail are downscaled from a clean source.
